Early Childhood PK-3 Graduate Certificate Program 
 
Earn Tuition-Assisted Professional Development Credits
If you are a full-time teacher in one of Hawai‘i's P-3 demonstration sites (early childhood centers or programs and elementary schools in the Castle, Farrington, Kahuku, Kailua, Kalaheo, Honokaa, Nanakuli, or Wai'anae Complex Areas), you are eligible to earn an Early Childhood PK-3 Graduate Certificate, with tuition assistance from Hawai‘i P-20 Partnerships in Education (preference given to teachers in PreK - third grade classrooms).
 

• Hawai‘i P-20 will select a cohort of 15 teachers and provide them with 100% tuition assistance (books, fees, and course materials not included) applicable to all five courses (15 credits) that make up the certificate (for specific courses, please click "PK-3" Graduate Certificate Program Information" below). Courses are expected to be completed over the duration of 18 months.
• Upon successful completion of program requirements, students will receive a Certificate of Achievement conferred by the dean of the College of Education, University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
• All 15 University credits earned can be applied toward a Master's of Education in Curriculum Studies with an emphasis in PK-3 degree.

 
Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2011. Selections and notifications will take place in April and May.
 
Please note: those accepted into the program will need to also appy and be accepted to the Masters of Education in Curriculum Studies program for the Fall 2011 semester. Admissions information on the M.Ed. in Curriculum Studies can be found here.
 
Cohort applicants are responsible for any and all application fees. Please also note that acceptance into the M.Ed. in Curriculum Studies is not a guarantee of acceptance into the Hawai‘i P-20 sponsored cohort opportunity.
